The trail is across the parking lot from the park office. If you walk across the the Little Beaver Creek bridge, the trail sign is on your right.

Don't let the uppity sounding trail name fool you; this is an awesome trail inside a beautiful park. The Vondergreen Trail is a 6.2 mile out and back trail. There were a lot of people at the park, but we only saw two other hikers on the trail. There are a few historical landmarks on the path, and lots of beautiful trees and greenery. It's rated as moderate difficulty but we thought it was easy to moderate.

We planned on camping at the Beaver Creek State Park Family Campground but as soon as we pulled in we were greeted by large "No Alcohol" signs. For Jeff, that was a definite sign we should stay someplace else. We found a local private campground where we camped for the night. We're not naming the campground because even though this site was nice and secluded, there really wasn't much at the campground, and it wasn't someplace we'd recommend.
