Park at Oak Hill Trailhead
Route 303 to Major Road to Oak Hill
We need the tonic of wildness.
At the same time that we are earnest
to explore and learn all things,
we require that all things be
mysterious and unexplorable,
that land and sea be unfathomed by us
because unfathomable.
We can never have enough of nature.
Henry David Thoureau

The tonic of wildness can be found on just about any trail at Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This one? A new favorite. We say that about a lot of trails but it was love at first step onto this one.
There are sections of this trail that remind us of the Allegheny National Forest, and others of the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina. This trail is one more reason why we love Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
The Plateau Trail is 4.4 miles. It's beautiful, and not too hilly.
