Hiking Millers Head Shenandoah National Park

October 8, 2017

Millers Head

Skyline Drive mile 42.5

Shenandoah National Park

"You must have been warned

against letting the golden hours slip by.

Yes, but some of them are golden

only because we let them slip."

                       James M. Barrie

This 1.6 mile hike (roundtrip) was recommended as a good place to watch the sunset.

It was a great place to watch the sunset, but the trail is steep and rocky in spots which made

hiking back after dark a bit of a challenge, even with our headlamps.

If you don't want to hike to see sunset, the view from Skyland Lodge is just as good, if not better.
