Zion National Park
Kolob Canyons
"Should you shield the canyons
from the windstorms
you would never see
the true beauty of their carvings."
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
The Taylor Creek Trail is in the less-crowded Kolob Canyons area of Zion National Park. This is an easy and beautiful 5 mile roundtrip hike to the double-arch alcove. The trail is not as shaded as some of the trail descriptions suggested. We hiked midday, and most of the trail was in direct sunlight.
Along the trail, we passed the remains of the Larson and Fife cabins, both built in the 1930s, before this area was added to the park.

A description of this trail stated that it isn't very photogenic. We wholeheartedly disagree.
