Strong currents rushing against our legs. Stones of all shapes and sizes underfoot. Red rock cliffs as high as 2000 feet twisting, turning, towering above. Not a single soul out ahead of us. The whole canyon to ourselves. The whole wild world ours.

There are 20 miles of Towpath Trail running through Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This is where we do most of our Towpath riding.

Sheer drop-offs, amazing views, a tarantula and two owls.
It’s honestly hard to pick a favorite Lake MetroParks park, but Penitentiary Glen Reservation is definitely in the top 3!

This 1.6 mile hike (roundtrip) was recommended as a good place to watch the sunset.
This is where the hike went from wonderful to wtf. It only made sense that after so much downhill hiking we would eventually have to climb. And climb. And climb some more.
There are sections of this trail that remind us of the Allegheny National Forest, and others of the Appalachian Trail.
